The information is a starting point, not a guarantee

Official licence data from the City of Toronto, the Province of Ontario, and the Province of British Columbia anchors each published listing. Regional and centre-level sources add details such as subsidy, availability, websites, and application routes where available. Those added details are checked on different schedules, and information can be incomplete or out of date, especially openings. You should always confirm fees, availability, and how to apply directly with the centre before making decisions.

We’re not the government or the daycares

DaycareMap is an independent tool. We’re not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any daycare, municipality, region, or provincial government. Saving or applying through DaycareMap does not reserve a spot or place you on a waitlist. Only the centre can do that, and applications are sent by you.

Fair use & no scraping

DaycareMap is for your own family’s search. The DaycareMap directory, including the compiled set of listings, our enrichment, contact details, and its organization, is our property as a database compilation, and you may not:

• use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated means to access, copy, or index the site or its data;
• bulk-download, extract, republish, resell, or redistribute any substantial part of the directory;
• circumvent rate limits, access controls, or the sign-in requirement on our data endpoints; or
• disrupt or overload the service for others.

We may block, rate-limit, or suspend access for anyone who does. To request permission for a legitimate use, email hello@updates.daycaremap.ca.

Optional support

DaycareMap is free to use. If you send a tip through our “Buy us a coffee” link, it’s a voluntary one-time payment processed by Stripe, and Stripe’s processing fee is deducted. Tips are a thank-you for a free service. They don’t unlock features, change the service, or create any obligation on our part. DaycareMap isn’t a registered charity, so tips aren’t tax-deductible and no receipt is issued. Tipped by mistake? Email hello@updates.daycaremap.ca and we’ll make it right.

We work hard to keep DaycareMap accurate and available, but it’s offered as-is, without warranties. We aren’t liable for decisions made based on the information here. Please verify what matters with the centre.
